Alpine Eagle has not been seen at the races since early spring, but has continued to firm into outright $3.10 favouritism in 2016 RA Lee Stakes betting markets with leading online bookie Ladbrokes.com.au.

Alpine Eagle stamped himself as a star in the making for trainer Tony McEvoy through the 2015 Autumn Carnival; winning the Group 2 Autumn Classic (1800m) before finishing a close second in the Group 1 Australian Guineas (1600m) most notably.

While only managing two starts in spring before an injury forced a return to the paddock, Alpine Eagle is arguably the class horse of the 2016 RA Lee Stakes field and will be very tough to beat from barrier 2.

Atlantis Dream savaged the line for second in the Group 2 Queen Of The South Stakes (1600m) a fortnight ago, will relish a drop in weight and represents good value for money at current RA Lee Stakes odds of $4.80 for success.

A strong and consistent performer for Darren Weir through her entire racing career so far, Atlantis Dream has posted a credible six wins and nine minors through twenty-two competitive starts.

Resuming this time for second in the Gold Bracelet (1400m) at Bendigo on March 19th, the Elusive City mare ran third in the Ladbrokes Odds Boost Handicap (1600m) and second in the Flight Lieutenant Peter Armytage Handicap (1700m) leading into the Queen Of The South Stakes.

Interestingly figuring as the only other runner currently available at 2016 RA Lee Stakes odds of less-than $10, Tonopah ($5) carries winning form into the race and will leave from the rails draw.

Posting seven wins and three minors through his twenty-six career starts since first appearing on course competitively in 2012, Tonopah resumed this time for a credible sixth in the Listed Hareeba Stakes (1200m) on April 2nd.

Luckless in transit when sixth in the Wellington Racing Club BM84 (1440m), the Rock Hard Ten gelding charged home to beat a classy field to the line in the Drink Driving? Grow Up Handicap (1600m) on May 7th.

Melbourne Cup hero Prince Of Penzance will make his long-awaited return at Morphettville on Saturday, and is currently available at 2016 RA Lee Stakes odds of $16.
